I agree that PCT shall not be responsible monetarily, legally or otherwise for injuries to my pet which may arise in the course of play or which may be caused by the presence or actions of another animal or any caused by my own pet. I shall make no claim against and/or indemnify PCT against any costs, damage, claims or expenses that may result from an injury to my pet or to another animal if caused by my pet.

PET TRANSPORT

PCT takes every reasonable precaution to ensure that all animals in its care are healthy and safe.  I recognize that incidents may happen.  I agree that Paws Claws N’ Tails / employees of PCT shall not be responsible monetarily, legally or otherwise for injuries or the death of my pet that may arise in the course of an accident.  I shall make no claim against and/or indemnify PCT against any costs, damage, claims or expenses that may result from an injury or death.

GENERAL POLICIES

PCT Facilities:  For safety reasons while on PCT property do not approach any fence without consent or presence of a PCT Pet employee.  Please have your dog/cat on a leash or in an approved carrying crate when on the property (including the parking area).  Horses shall have a halter and lead rope until secure inside the corral/fenced in area.  Should there be an incident where injury or property damage occurs, neither PCT, nor any of its staff members will be held responsible. Any claims made will be the sole responsibility and liability of the owner/guardian of the pet(s) in question.

Behaviour:  Any pet is welcome at PCT, however all dogs/cats must be non-aggressive.  Owners will need to certify that their dog/cat has not harmed or shown aggression or threatening behaviour towards any person or another dog/cat.  When your dog/cat visits the outdoor/indoor play areas he/she will be in contact with many other types of dog/cats and the health and safety of our animals is our main concern.  Play areas will be supervised, however much like a dog park, acts of aggression can happen very quickly and without warning.  If your dog/cat does have an incident that PCT deems unacceptable we reserve the right to remove your pet to its own separate area for safety reasons until your arrival.  PCT reserves the right to refuse service and permanently remove your pet without explanation.  PCT may refuse the use of its facilities if a pet is unhealthy, acts aggressively, is undisciplined, or displays behaviour that may be considered dangerous to themselves, other animals or employees.

Escape:  PCT will take all reasonable precautions to ensure that pets cannot escape.  If a pet does escape we will make every attempt to capture the animal.  In the event a pet cannot be captured and becomes lost I will not hold PCT liable.

Death/Serious Injury:  PCT prides itself on the care and safety of your pet.  In the unlikely event that my pet suffers a serious injury or dies while in the care of PCT I will not hold PCT liable.

Abandonment/Non-Payment:  If a pet is abandoned at PCT the owner/agent/guardian will be given notice at the address provided in the application.  After five of the notice of abandonment or default in fees PCT reserves the right to transfer care of the pet to the Humane Society, horses will be sold privately.  If credit card information is available I authorize Paws Claws N’ Tails in advance to continue billing until such time as the pet has been picked up by the owner/agent/guardian.

Grooming:  Accidental nicks, scrapes, burns, bleeding and more can occur and may be unavoidable.  If PCT finds the condition of my pet’s hair/fur to be severely matted/tangled/knotted and incapable of de-matting without causing undue stress and pain to the animal, my pet may be shaved down for reasons of health and well being.

Health:  All dogs/cats/horses must be in good health.  If your pet is not feeling well (i.e. - vomiting or diarrhea) please do not bring him/her to the facility as other guests may become ill as well.  Owners are required to certify that their pet is in good health and has not been ill with a communicable condition or otherwise in the last 30 days prior to admission to PCT.  Pets that have been ill with a communicable condition in the last 30 days will have to remain absent from PCT until they have recovered from the condition.  Pets will also require a veterinarian certification of clean health in order to be admitted.  Please advise our staff of any change in your pet’s health or medical condition upon arrival so that we may update your pet’s file.

Vaccinations: All pets must be fully up to date on their vaccines/test and owners must submit written proof of this requirement for an application to be approved.  Failure to maintain current vaccinations records and /or certificates may result in suspension from the Paws Claws N’ Tails facility.

Dogs must have current Distemper (CDV), Parvovirus (CPV), Infectious Hepatitis (ICH), Parainfluenza, and (CPI) and be vaccinated against Rabies. It is recommended that dogs be vaccinated against Bordetella (kennel cough), and be on a flea/tick/lice prevention program.

Cats must have current Feline Panleukopenia (Distemper, FPV), Feline Viral Rhinotracheitits (FVR), Feline Calicivirus (FCV), and be vaccinated against Rabies. It is also strongly recommended that cats be vaccinated against Feline Leukemia and be on a flea/tick/lice prevention program.

Horses must have Health and Coggins papers within the last year.

Emergencies:  In the event of an emergency involving your pet we will provide first aid.  If PCT believes that your pet requires immediate veterinary care PCT will first attempt to contact you at the contact numbers provided, then contact the emergency contact number provided, usually a veterinarian.  If a pet should be injured or otherwise deemed by PCT to require immediate veterinary attention, and your veterinarian is not available, PCT is authorized to use the services of any other veterinarian.  PCT will transport your pet/s to the veterinary clinic with the exception of horses. The owner will be responsible for any and all charges with respect to any such veterinary care.  I authorize the use of my credit card in such an event and I will provide and maintain a valid credit card on file.  If you have a maximum amount that you would like to spend please indicate amount on the Pet Registration Form.

Medications:  Should your pet require any medication(s) PCT will administer them as per your specific instruction.  We are not trained vet technicians therefore medications should be limited to those that a pet owner would normally do themselves (e.g. topical or oral applications).  PCT assumes no responsibility for incorrect dosage, or any complications caused by treatment.  The fee for administering meds will be in accordance with the PCT web site.

Age/Sex:  PCT will accept puppies/kittens that are a minimum of 12 weeks of age and are on a vaccination program with their second set of shots completed.  All cats must be spayed or neutered. Dogs attending the facility may do so unaltered at the owner’s risk.  PCT will not accept females in heat and reserves the right to expel intact males that overly assert themselves.

Damaged/ lost property:  PCT will not be liable or responsible for any loss or damage that may occur to my pet’s leash, collar, harness, toy(s) or other items while in its care.  To avoid mix-ups of belongings please ensure your pet’s belongings are clearly labelled.  PCT will not accept responsibility for any lost or damaged personal belonging that I may leave with my pet, whether in daycare, overnight boarding, during a grooming visit, or otherwise.

I understand and acknowledge that PCT reserves the right to limit usage of PCT facilities if I do not comply with any of the preceding health or safety policies.  In the event of policy infractions PCT may deem it necessary to ask me to leave the property.  In this case I am not entitled to a refund or credit.  I understand and acknowledge that I undertake responsibly for, and will not hold PCT liable for any illness or ailment that my animal may incur within the premises of PCT.

Rates/Packages:  PCT offers a variety of cost saving daycare packages that are non-transferable to pets outside your household.  Rates and services are subject to change without notice
